Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and who can see what, in plain language.
1. In short
- Your profile is not public. While your plan is active, only companies verified by JobersBD can see it.
- A company gets your phone number, email and CV only if you accept its contact request.
- No company ever sees your NID, passport, parents’ names, current salary, detailed address or your references’ contact details.
- We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
2. What we collect
Job seekers: name, mobile, email, password (stored encrypted), and what you add to your profile: photo, education, experience, skills, job preferences, CV, certificates and Video CV. Your NID or passport number is optional.
Recruiters: company details and logo, office address, the contact person’s name, designation, mobile and email, and the trade licence number and copy.
Payments: the plan, the amount, the wallet (bKash, Nagad, Rocket or Upay), the number you paid from and the receipt screenshot. Only you and our team can see the receipt. If you joined through a referral link, we keep who invited you (to work out the bonus); the inviter only sees your first name and status. We never ask for a PIN or card details.
Contact form: name, email, mobile (optional) and your message.
Technical data: IP address and login times, used only for security and to stop spam.
3. How we use it
- To connect job seekers with verified companies.
- To verify companies and keep fake accounts out.
- To email you about contact requests, verification and your account.
- To answer your questions and keep the site secure and working.
4. Who can see what
Visitors and other job seekers: nothing from your profile, unless you give them your share link (see below).
Verified companies: your name, headline, age (not your date of birth), general details such as gender and marital status, area (thana, district, division), education, experience, skills, languages, training, certificates, projects, awards, online profile links, job preferences (including expected salary), your references’ names and organisations (not their phone or email) and your Video CV. Your photo only if you allow it.
A company whose request you accepted: all of the above, plus your mobile, email and CV. You also see that company’s contact person, number and email.
Anyone with your share link: if you create a link under “Share profile”, anyone who opens it sees your digital CV: the same details companies see, plus your mobile, email and CV file only if you tick those options. The page is kept out of Google, and you can switch the link off or replace it at any time.
The JobersBD team: everything, when needed for support, verification and security. Only our team sees a company’s trade licence.
In the “Privacy” section of your profile you can hide your profile from search, hide your photo, or stop new contact requests at any time.
6. Security and storage
CVs, Video CVs, photos, certificates and trade licences are stored where no one can open them with a direct link; permission is checked every time a file is opened. Passwords are stored encrypted, so even we can’t read them.
We keep your information while your account exists. Deleting your account also deletes your profile, files, shortlists and contact requests. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need to answer them.
7. Your choices
- You can view, change or delete anything in your profile yourself.
- You can accept or decline any company’s contact request.
- To get a copy of your information, or to delete your account completely, contact us.
8. Children
JobersBD is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For big changes, we’ll email you.
